This is an emergency campaign to help Nadia and Abd Abu Arar to save the life of their dear daughter Mai.
My name is Sini Saarela, I’m from Finland. I have verified this family, and can ensure that all donations go to the parents of Mai Abu Arar.
Here is beautiful Mai Abu Arar, seven years old. Mai is critically ill and hospitalised. Mai needs urgent medical and nutritional treatment to survive.
Mai suffers from toxic malnutrition. During the last four months she has been hospitalised on several occasions for long periods of time. Her condition keeps on deteriorating.
In the beginning of the diagnosed malnutrition her weight was 16kg. Now Mai weighs 11,5kg and her weight continues to decrease. Mai is now in dangerous face of malnutrition.
Mai suffers from severe protein deficiency, from calcium deficiency, potassium deficiency, low blood salt levels and anemia. In addition to above listed deficiencies, Mai was discovered to also suffer from high blood acidity in her latest blood tests.
Mai has been discharged from the hospital several times, but due to her weakness and serious condition she has had to return to hospital each time.
To survive Mai urgently needs appropriate nutritional aid and food: Potassium, calcium, iron, vitamins, and other nutritional aid products. Her health would be supported by fresh fruits and vegetables. All these are expensive and difficult to find in Gaza, therefore the family urgently needs donations.
Mai’s siblings only get one meal a day because of the high prices and scarcity of food. The parents cannot afford to buy the available food sufficiently. Mai is at times not able to even eat because of pain and weakness she suffers from.
Nadia and Abd do their utmost and beyond to make their children survive – just like any caring and loving parent would do! Help them to save their family, and to save the life of their dear daughter Mai, whose life is acutely threatened.
