Help a Gazan Medical Student Continue Her Studies
United Kingdom
My name is Aseel and I am from Gaza.
Before the occupation unleashed its genocidal war, I was studying nursing at Al-Azhar University and I was working hard to succeed. I entered this field with all my love for the sake of patients and patients’ rights. I struggled and worked hard and I was happy about this when I saw myself getting tired for the sake of my people’s comfort.
I was also working and studying; suddenly one morning, I was getting ready to go to the hospital to train for an important practical exam. The city, and my life, turned upside down that day. My hopes and dreams have since been replaced by the drive for survival. To this day, I have not yet been able to return to my studies. I did not understand how to study in this hell, in this famine. How to study while I am afraid and hungry.
I decided to create my educational campaign in order to save my future that is being destroyed in front of me in order to grant me study abroad because there is nothing but destroyed stones in my city. This is my only demand: to live in peace, learn, and be able to support my family.
I am aiming to raise £20,000, which will help me continue my nursing degree and buy the items I need for study. University registration is opening at the beginning of September, and with your help, I will have raised enough by then to be able to register, and continue building the life I dream of, in spite of the genocide.
