Help Provide Ahmed’s Family in Gaza with Essential Supplies

My name is Andrew, and I am a pre-veterinary univeristy student at Cal Poly in San Luis Obispo, California. I am raising money for my friend Ahmed from Palestine. Shortly after the start of the Israeli genocidal assault on the Gaza Strip in October 2023, Ahmed was displaced from Jabalia Refugee Camp, north of Gaza City. His home was destroyed, he lost friends and family, and he was separated from his fiancée, Zahra. Today, Ahmed and the children in his family (including those of his older brother, who was martyred in the violence) have sought refuge in a tent city in the central Gaza Strip. He is trying to make due with what he has, with Ahmed’s sister acting as a teacher for the young children in a makeshift kindergarten. However, as the cold Levantine winter settles over Palestine, they face the growing threat of hypothermia and disease, in addition to the famine which has devastated the Gaza Strip for months. With extremely low supply due to the genocidal blockade and high demand, prices of essential goods and food have spiralled out of control. Ahmed’s family urgently requires funds to purchase winter blankets and clothes, in addition to staple foods such as bread. This campaign is intended to provide these funds in the short term.
