Hello, my friends, My name is Moamen Barakat from Gaza.

We are a simple family of six: my father Omar, my mother Seham, my older brother Mohammed, my middle brother Mohannad, myself, and my little sister Hala. Each of us carries a dream and a hope in our heart, trying in our own way to make this world a better place. We are an educated, loving family: my father is a social counselor, my mother is a teacher, Mohammed is a web designer, Mohannad is an architect, I am a lawyer, and Hala is still a young student dreaming of a brighter tomorrow.

But everything changed when the war began. We were forced to flee our first home to our second home in Al-Nuseirat, where the first chapters of suffering began: fear, lack of water, and the constant loss of safety. After a month, the house we took refuge in was bombed, and we lost what remained of our memories and warmth.

We then fled to Rafah, living in a single classroom in a school — six of us in one room — for five months. They were some of the hardest days we had ever faced… but it was not the end. We were forced to escape again, this time to Khan Younis, where we lived for nine months under the harshest conditions: hunger, thirst, soaring prices, and danger drawing closer each day.

Then came a brief truce. We returned to northern Gaza only to find our home partially destroyed. We tried to clean and repair it… but the war returned, fiercer than before.

Now, we have been living in continuous famine for more than five months. Prices are unimaginable, food is scarce, and our bodies have grown too weak to endure. Our health is deteriorating, yet even through all of this, we have not lost our humanity. My brother Mohammed and I decided to launch a donation campaign to feed those around us in need. By God’s grace, we were able to make a real difference.

But today, I am opening this campaign for my family. For my mother, who grows weaker each day… for my father, who is trying to stay strong despite illness and hunger… for my brothers, who are exhausted from endless patience… and for my little sister Hala, who still dreams of a birthday cake she hasn’t tasted in over a year.

Every contribution, no matter how small, can make a world of difference for us. Help us survive, help us live, help us dream again.
