My name is Mahmoud. I am the husband of my beloved wife Iman, and the father of our little boy, Alaa, who is just 19 months old. Before the war, we lived a simple and peaceful life in Gaza. I worked as a tailor’s assistant, we had everything we needed—our home, our health, and most importantly, each other.

That life ended on October 13, 2023.

We were forced to flee our home under the roar of bombs and the fear of death. Since then, we’ve lost everything. Our home was destroyed. We’ve been displaced over and over—first living in a crowded school in Khan Yunis, then in a makeshift tent in Rafah for five months, and now we are in another tent in Khan Yunis. The conditions are barely livable.

My son Alaa was only 9 months old when the war began. He took his first steps in a tent, under the sounds of airstrikes, surrounded by fear, hunger, and dirt. Today, at 21 months old, he suffers from malnutrition. His little body shows the signs—thin arms, tired eyes, constant sickness. There is no proper food, no medicine, and no clean water to help him grow strong.

My wife Iman is now pregnant. She is carrying our second child while living in a tent, exposed to the summer heat, without medical care, without prenatal vitamins, and without enough food. Most days, we barely eat one meal. Iman is weak, and I fear for her health and the health of our unborn baby. Malnutrition during pregnancy is dangerous, and without urgent help, it could lead to tragedy.

We are asking for your help to survive.

We urgently need food, clean water, baby formula, prenatal care, clothing, and hygiene supplies. We need medicine for our son and medical support for my pregnant wife. We have no income, no savings, no possessions—only hope that someone, somewhere, will see us and care.

Please, if you are able, donate to support my family. Every dollar goes directly to providing us with the basics we need to stay alive. Your kindness could save my wife, my children, and help us make it through this nightmare.

Thank you for reading our story and for standing with families like mine. We are holding onto hope—and we pray that your compassion will help us survive.

With gratitude,

Mahmoud
