I am Roshdi Rashad, a 24-year-old student in my final (sixth) year of Clinical Pharmacy, living in the heart of Gaza.

I won’t fill this page with tragic words — the world knows Gaza, and it knows how much we’ve suffered. All I ask for today is a small chance to survive, nothing more.

Gaza today is not just a besieged city… it’s a city fighting through the flames of war and the hell of inflation. Life here has shut its doors on the poor, burdening them with unbearable costs, endless bills, and a hunger that devours what’s left of our dignity.

We lost our home and everything we had that gave us a sense of safety…

We struggle every single day. Literally every attempt to escape death is a form of dying here in Gaza.

My extended family around the world becomes the only hope.

From the bottom of my heart, I thank y’all…

For your time, for your compassion, and for your humanity. To all my friends who’ve always stood by me and my family, I love y’all.

Gaza is dying in silence…don’t leave us alone.
