Ibtisam’s husband went to a GHF aid distribution site in Gaza, hoping to bring back food to keep his family alive. He never returned. Days have passed with no word, no confirmation, no closure. He simply vanished like so many others who dared to search for help under siege. Her children still ask for him. She has no answers, only silence and grief.
After being forced from their home by Israeli forces under threat of bombardment, Ibtisam and her children now live in a tent, displaced and exposed to the elements. Since March, they have survived under total blockade with barely any food. The family endures relentless hunger, often going entire days without a single meal. The children are growing weaker. Ibtisam is doing everything she can to protect them, but the reality is harsh and unforgiving.
They are unarmed, innocent victims of a genocide unfolding in real time. What they are enduring is not simply war, it is the deliberate starvation and erasure of an entire people. And we who still carry empathy, compassion, and moral clarity in our hearts must not look away.
