Fundraiser for Yender’s Legal Fees: $6,000 NEEDED FOR YOUNG FATHER & ASYLUM SEEKER INCARCERATED AT COOK COUNTY JAIL

Beloved son, brother, father, spouse, and friend, Yender was torn away from our community in March and has been held at the brutal Cook County Jail ever since. Please donate toward his attorney’s fees to help him fight the crooked criminal injustice system and get him safely back to his 1-year-old baby and family–all recent migrants who have worked tirelessly in Chicago to provide for those in need despite having so little for themselves. His family misses and needs him terribly.

Donations are also being accepted for Yender via Venmo (@comedor-comunitario-chicago), and we will update this page if the total of donations from this page plus the Venmo get near the total of $6,000 that is our goal to be able to pay the attorney’s fees in full and relieve Yender’s family of this huge burden.

In Mexico, I was badly injured when I fell off the train on our journey. It has not been easy. When I arrived in Chicago t
