Hello my friends. Over the course of the past month or so I have been privileged to befriend and support (to the best of my abilities) Tamer Al-Najjar. Tamer is a 15-year-old boy from Gaza who has endured and suffered horrors beyond what I or anyone I know has experienced. He is one of four brothers: Hani, Motaz and Jaser. His parents are no longer around to raise them, therefore, Tamer and his siblings have, additionally, been taking care of Rassmy, their nephew. As the bombardments have grown closer, they have been displaced, unhoused, displaced again, and forced to sleep without the safety of a tent. As it stands, they do not know comfort. They do not experience peace. The unrest is a constant and traumatizing force that will forever shape the worldview of a developing mind such as Tamer’s. Notwithstanding the lack of shelter, they face constant and unending food insecurity as a bag of flour can cost one family up to $1,000. Tamer seeks asylum, he seeks escape from the dark reality in which he currently lives. He has spoken to me about his dreams of finding some place safe to live, where he can take his family and go to school. I hope to help him reach that safety, but I cannot do that alone. Please, help me help Tamer. Donate, or share the link to this campaign so he and his family can be safe. War permanently alters the mind of a child or teen. It is our duty, as those with privilege, to lessen that load.

Thank you for listening.
