Help Leena and Her Family in Gaza

Leena Kamel is a mother of 5, aged 13, 12, 7 and twins aged 4, who has lost her home and her husband (who was the love of her life) amidst the ongoing genocide in Gaza. Mohammed was martyred while waiting for bread to take back to his family in November 2023. He was the sole income earner and now Leena is left to fend for herself and her children. This family lives in the North and needs much of our help.

It is difficult in any circumstances to become a widow and to care for five children, but completely unimaginable in a genocide. Leena is often tired of the situation (who wouldn’t be?) and just wish for this nightmare to end. I hope we can come together to support her until then. She is an amazingly kind hearted person and wonderful mother.

My name is Carrie and I live in the United States and I’ve known Leena for 7 months now. We chat often above life, about children, about what’s going on in the world. Leena has become a good friend.

Hi everyone. The situation in Gaza is horrific. But I do want to take a minute to celebrate Leena’s youngest children, Rewan and Adam graduating from kindergarten. They for excellent marks in all subjects. Leena is super proud of them.

i also want to give Leena a lot of credit for continuing to focus on education and to put her children in school amidst the genocide. She unexpectedly became a widow and had to find ways to feed and house her children amidst a genocide. She has gone above and beyond. I also know this community has stood in solidarity with her.

I think we all hope this nightmare ends soon. But in the meantime please continue to support this family. Send a gift to the twins and mom (who did a lot of the hard work).
