My name is Rawan Jamal, and I live in Gaza with my family of six.
We live under bombardment, amid fear and hunger, in conditions no human being can bear.
Since October 7, our home was destroyed, and we lost everything: our home, our livelihood, and our security.
We now live in a tattered tent that offers no protection against the cold of winter or the heat of summer.
My mother is ill and needs treatment that we cannot afford, and I am unable to meet my family’s most basic needs, such as food and medicine.
I only dream of saving them, of providing them with a meal, a safe roof, and a home where we can live with dignity.
The costs of living and travel are exorbitant:
• Travel cost per person: $5,000
• Travel cost per child: $2,500
• Rent for a safe house: $500 per month
We thank God that we are still together, but we fear that we could lose each other at any moment.
