My name is Shawna, and I’m a Canadian mother, a human being, and someone who believes deeply in compassion, justice, and the value of every life. For months, like so many of you, I’ve watched in horror as the people of Gaza endure unimaginable suffering — bombings, starvation, the loss of homes, and the destruction of their communities. I can no longer just bear witness. I have to act.
This campaign is to help Mohamed — a kind, brave young man I’ve come to know through social media. Mohamed lives in Gaza with his family. Like so many others, they have lost everything. Their home has been destroyed. They have no consistent access to food, clean water, or medical care. Every day is a struggle just to survive.
What makes Mohamed’s situation especially heartbreaking is his determination to protect and provide for his family despite the chaos surrounding them. He is trying to care for 11 family members, even while displaced and living under constant threat.
This fundraiser will provide direct support to Mohamed and his family. Every dollar will go toward their most urgent needs.

Hello,
My name is Mohammed, and I live in Gaza with my family of 11 people. For nearly two years, we have endured the horrors of war — constant fear, destruction, and displacement.
We were forced to flee our home, seeking safety in different places. Eventually, we ended up living in tents, exposed to harsh weather and lacking the most basic necessities.
Today, we have returned to what is left of our home, but life is far from normal. We are struggling daily to find food, clean water, and essential supplies. The humanitarian situation here is unbearable, and we are in desperate need of help.
I’m reaching out with a heavy heart, asking for your compassion and support. Any donation — no matter how small — can make a life-changing difference for me and my family.
