My name is Claire, and I am organizing this fundraiser on behalf of a family in urgent need from Khan Yunis, Gaza. I have been in direct contact with Jihan Sami Abu Daqqa, a devoted mother of four young children who are enduring unimaginable hardship.
Jihan’s family has been living in a torn, nylon tent that offers no protection from the harsh heat, bitter cold, or the heavy rains that soak them as they sleep. Insects infest their living space, and they have no food security. Their situation is dire and growing more desperate by the day.
Who You Are Helping
Jihan is the sole caregiver for her four children:
A 10-year-old boy An 8-year-old girl A 6-year-old boy A 2-year-old boy
Their father is abroad and unreachable, and Jihan bears the full responsibility of keeping her children safe, warm, and fed—without any income or support. They have reached out to many organizations, but so far, their pleas have gone unanswered.
Jihan told me, “All we wish for is shelter and food, nothing else.”

A secure and weatherproof shelter to replace their deteriorating tent Basic food supplies to sustain the children Essential items like clothing, hygiene materials, and bedding
