My name is Omar Salama. I’m 15 years old, and I’m from Shuja’iyya in northern Gaza.

I’ve grown up under siege. My childhood was filled not with laughter, but the sounds of drones and airstrikes. Now, after the latest offensive, my family and I have lost everything.

Our home in Shuja’iyya was completely destroyed. We are now displaced in Hayy al-Nasr, living in a temporary shelter that is not fit for human life. There’s no electricity, the water is polluted, and the heat is unbearable. We sleep on bare ground, surrounded by rubble and grief. Every day we struggle just to survive.

There are ten of us in the family:

My parents (Mum is 44, Dad is 49)

Myself (Omar, 15)

My five sisters: Rawan (20), Doaa (20), Yasmeen (19), Judat (18), and Noor (17)

My younger sister Rahaf (10)

And my little brother Mohammed (7)

My mother is unwell and needs ongoing treatment, which we simply can’t afford. My father used to run a small clothing stall before the war, but now there is no business, no income, and no security.

I try to help however I can, doing any kind of temporary work, but I’m just 15. Before the war, I loved playing football and PUBG like most boys my age. Now I dream only of helping my family survive.

One day, I hope to open a small stall with my father—to rebuild what was stolen from us, piece by piece.

But right now, we need help just to make it through the day.

We are asking for your support—not for luxury, but for dignity:

Clean drinking water

Basic food supplies

Medicine for my mum

Clothes for my younger siblings

Anything that helps us feel human again

Even a small donation makes a huge difference here. Please share our story and stand with us during this genocide.

From my heart, thank you.
