My name is Méline, I am asking for your help for my friend Asia. Here is her story:
My name is Asia. I am 20 years old and I live in Gaza, specifically in the southern part of the Strip. I am a third-year university student majoring in English Translation. I dream of a life filled with success and achievement, and I want to make my family proud.
Since October 7th, my life has turned upside down. I lost several members of my family, including my older sister, her husband, their two-year-old son, and her unborn baby. I have survived death multiple times. I was injured in my hand and head due to the bombing of the house next to ours. I have been displaced from my home three times.
As a girl, education is my only weapon. Unfortunately, I had to stop attending university because of the war, but I am determined to continue as soon as I get the chance. I am currently trying to raise money to prepare for and take the TOEFL exam, which is required to apply for scholarships. This certificate is essential for me to be able to leave Gaza and continue my education abroad.
Despite everything, I still hold onto hope. I believe that education can change my life.
