Help Rena and her family in G4za
France
Hi everyone, my name is Ebtihel and I am raising funds on behalf of my friend Rena who lives in Gaza. Here are her words for you: My Name is Rena, from Gaza, I’m 22 years old. I’m a fourth-year pharmacy student. I live with my mother, grandmother, and aunt. We live in Gaza in miserable conditions in tents in the Khan Yunis neighborhood. I cannot describe the extent of the suffering and the difficulty of living in a tent in this heat. It’s difficult for me to find the words to describe what we face daily: no food, no medicine, no clean drinking water, helplessness, psychological pressure, and the daily shock of losing loved ones. In Gaza, it’s not just hunger, disease, and fear; it also means actual death.
Every night, we live in constant fear and anxiety as a result of the ongoing bombing. My family and I have been forced to flee more than 10 times under bombardment, escaping death. My home was completely destroyed, my entire town was wiped out, and I lost my best friends in this brutal war. But I’m trying to study despite this war and trying to cling to my dream and not give up. I want to leave Gaza and continue striving until I achieve my goal.
Now, I find myself in this difficult situation, and I humbly and earnestly ask for your help to save my family’s lives. The situation in Gaza has become unbearable due to the slow death caused by hunger, thirst, displacement, disease, and constant bombardment.
The past months have been filled with hell and horror. This war has dragged on, and our mental health and lives are in constant danger. We have reached a point where there is no longer any hope in Gaza, as if we are waiting for death. Even if a ceasefire is reached, the devastation in Gaza, in all its forms, cannot be quickly repaired.
Your help will go a long way in alleviating our suffering. I hope you will share my story with your families and friends.
I will be eternally grateful for your generous assistance during this difficult time of hunger, thirst, displacement, disease, and constant bombardment.
