Hello dear friends! My name is Mud Mcguire and I have made this fundraiser on behalf of my friend Mamdouh Drweesh-Awad. Mamdouh was introduced to me through a family member of his that is a friend of mine.
Mamdouh and his family of seven have endured horrific traumas and losses since October 2023. It is Mamdouh’s hope that this fundraiser will gather the funds he needs to keep his family safe, healthy, and fed. Please do all that you can to help Mamdouh and his family survive starvation and illness!

“My name is Mamdouh from Gaza, Palestine. I am 48 years old and support a family of seven. My wife and I suffer from chronic illnesses. We are being subjected to a genocidal war that has destroyed everything we own: my work, my home, my children’s schools, and their university. We have nothing left. My son received honors in high school and had a scholarship to study medicine, but he lost it because of the war. We are suffering all kinds of suffering, including hunger, fear, and persecution. We ask for help during this ordeal.”

The situation in Gaza is horrific. The bombings have increased again and there is a lot of uncertainty of what may happen next. Unfortunately, this fundraiser has not received much support. Without an income, Mamdouh relies on this fundraiser to keep his family as fed and healthy as is possible.
Thankfully, due to international pressure, there has been more aid let in to Gaza. There is much more food and basic necessities available in the markets, making everything much more affordable. In addition to this, there are a few stores that now accept use of the Bank of Palestine app to transfer money directly without the need to have physical cash. This will help our friends keep much more of the money they receive from donations because the fees to withdraw cash are extremely high. Now is an excellent time to support our friends with any donation amount that you can spare! If you can’t donate, please share this fundraiser with as many people as possible!
