My name is Khaled. I am a blind man who cannot see with his eyes, but sees with a heart that refuses to give up. My life has been a long journey of struggle—not just because of my blindness, but because of the harsh realities forced upon me and my beloved daughter, Nana.

I’ve been displaced from my home more than six times. Each time, I walked on foot—searching for a safe shelter, a place where I could protect my daughter from fear, cold, and hunger. Imagine walking long distances without seeing the road, only hearing bombs falling and the earth shaking, holding your daughter’s hand tightly, as if saying: “I’m with you, even if I can’t see the way.”

Despite everything, I never lost hope. My daughter Nana has been my light in this darkness. She is my eyes, my reason to keep going, and my voice that challenges despair.

Today, I don’t ask for much—just a little humanity, a little support, so I can give her a life with dignity. I am not weak, but I am tired. I just want a chance to rest from this constant struggle.
