My name is Ahmed. I’m a husband, a father to a two-year-old boy, and a former Arabic language teacher from Gaza.

Before the war, I lived a modest but peaceful life, teaching students and building a future with my wife. Now, everything has changed. Our home was damaged, I lost my job, and food and clean water are nearly impossible to find. My wife is pregnant, and my greatest fear is that I won’t be able to keep her and our children safe.

We are living in extreme conditions—facing hunger, cold, and despair.

I’m reaching out to you because we urgently need your help. The cost of survival in Gaza has become unbearable due to the siege and shortages. Your donation will directly support my family with the most basic needs:

How Your Donation Will Be Spent:

Food: Due to extreme scarcity, a basic food basket (rice, lentils, canned goods, bread, oil) now costs around $200–$250 per month for a small family. Fresh produce or protein is a luxury.

Clean Water: Safe drinking water is expensive and limited. We spend $60–$80 per month just to have enough to drink and cook with.

Medical Care: My pregnant wife needs regular prenatal care, which is either unavailable or extremely expensive when found. We estimate $200–$300 for medical checkups, delivery support, and pediatric care for our son.

Baby Supplies: Diapers, baby formula, and clothing for our toddler and soon-to-be newborn cost around $100–$150 per month, when available.

Temporary Shelter & Essentials: If we can find safer shelter, it may cost $150–$200 per month, plus basic items like bedding, a gas stove, hygiene kits, and winter clothing.

Communication & Transport: Staying connected to emergency aid networks and getting to clinics or aid stations costs us about $30–$40 per month.

Goal: [$3,000–$4,000] to support my family for the coming few months.

This is not an easy message to write. But I believe that kindness still exists in the world. Every dollar you give goes directly to helping my family survive during this devastating time. Even a small donation can feed my son or pay for my wife’s next medical visit.

Please, help us get through this.

With gratitude, Ahmed from Gaza

Hello everyone! Our first deadline is looming so I wanted to remind everyone that we only have a few days left before we will be waiting a while for aid to get in again, so please send if you can, and I hope to see you all soon!
