These are his own words describing his family’s situation
My name is Ayman Nihad al-Tawil, from Palestine, living in Gaza. I have been displaced in a tent for over a year. I used to work as a taxi driver before the war.
I can’t believe what happened to me and my family, and I don’t know how I’m still alive after living through such difficult days.
Honestly, I’ve lost my passion and ambition after the occupation destroyed everything in my life. All I can think about is safety, getting rid of this insane war, and how to escape this miserable life.
We are currently living days filled with fear, death, hunger, and constant displacement. We are living in a dark nightmare.
Our lives have been turned upside down since October 7. Two weeks into the war, we were forced to leave our home and escape the unbelievable random rocket attacks. We left our home, carrying nothing but the clothes we were wearing, and took refuge in Rafah (southern Gaza Strip) to an unknown and mysterious fate, living in a tent.
My wonderful family of 11, and my mother, who never hesitates to support us emotionally and is by my side when I need her. She always draws strength from weakness, cooks for us from the scarce food available, and always brings us together even in the darkest of circumstances. In addition to working as a car dealer, he spent his life improving our lives, but unfortunately, he lost everything in this war. He lost his job and everything he worked for throughout his life. Now, he is in the most difficult of circumstances, overwhelmed with sadness and pain, watching us silently and calmly. It’s not easy for us to see him in this state.
Every day and every moment, we hope that the war, the genocide, the oppression, and the violations will end. But fear still dominates the situation, and it slips out of our control, worsening. So, I have to do anything to get out of here and protect my family, but we can’t, so we leave because we don’t have the money to travel abroad.
Asking for help has never been easy, but we have no other choice, so from the bottom of my heart, I ask you to help us as much as you can in this critical and dangerous situation. We would be extremely grateful if you helped us escape this miserable life, because with your help we can register all my family members and leave together without worrying about anyone remaining in Gaza. Please share this campaign with everyone you know to reach more people before it ends. We’ve felt the importance of sharing this gesture with friends and family .
