Help Solin and Her Seven Children Find Safety and Stability
United States
My name is Chan. I’m a human rights advocate in the U.S. working closely with families in Gaza. My friend Solin is a 33-year-old devoted mother of seven children, five daughters and two sons, doing everything she can to keep her family safe in Gaza.
Before the war, Solin owned her home. Life was simple but steady. Her children were in school, and they had routines, dreams, and a place they could call their own. But everything changed with the escalation of violence. Their home was destroyed. The bombing hasn’t stopped. They’ve been displaced multiple times. Solin has lost family members, brothers, cousins, in-laws, and her 16-year-old son Sami is currently injured in his chest. She asks for your prayers for his recovery.
Her children’s names are Malak (18), Sami (16), Ghazal (14), Ameera (12), Hamada (10), Mary (6), and Nour, who is just 4 months old.
Solin’s goal is not only survival, she is trying to rebuild stability for her children. This fundraiser will go toward immediate essentials like food, medical care, and shelter, but her ultimate hope is to evacuate her family to a safe place where they can begin to heal and build a future.
With Gaza’s borders closed for over two months—the longest closure the population has ever faced—food prices have soared to catastrophic levels. A 25-kilogram bag of flour now costs between $300 and $500, up from $20 before the blockade. A kilogram of tomatoes has quadrupled to $8, sugar has increased sevenfold, and rice now sells for $40 per kilogram. These prices are far beyond the reach of most families, making basic sustenance nearly impossible to obtain.
If you are able to give, please know your support helps a mother keep her children fed and safe in a time of unthinkable hardship. Every contribution, big or small, brings her closer to hope.
Thank you for standing with Solin and her children.
