I’m Anaïs, a social work student from the United States and campaign organizer for several Palestinian families (my Instagram is @sendlovetopalestine). I met elina through mutual friends in Gaza, and we have now been speaking for over 2 months. Her campaign is verified. Please read on for more information about Adele’s situation and how to support her during this time of extreme grief and suffering. Elina is a Gazan mother of a beautiful two-year-old boy named Bariq. He is a precious child, full of light and life. But he was born into genocide. He has known hunger and fear his whole life, and we need urgent support to help baby Bariq stay alive. Elina and her baby dream of a future where they can sleep peacefully at night without fearing for their lives. Collectively, we dream of a future where Elina and her baby will not have to lie awake at night troubled by hunger pangs and the ever-suffocating fear of death. And together, we can make that dream a reality.
Elina is also a caretaker for her sisters. She has sisters in dire medical conditions who need urgent support to buy medicine. Everything is extremely expensive in Gaza. Elina’s family has lost everything, including their home, access to employment, and all savings were spent long ago. They depend on our support to find flour to feed the kids. Famine presses its ugly face around all corners of their tent.
