My name is Rula Shukri Abdel Qader, a 24-year-old Palestinian from Gaza City, specifically the Al-Nasr neighborhood. I graduated with a degree in English Translation from Al-Azhar University in Gaza. I have three brothers and three sisters, and we lived together in a home full of love, hope, and dreams for a better future.

Before the war, I was building a promising life. I had recently graduated and worked as an English teacher at my private center, all while pursuing my education. I had many aspirations — to further my studies, grow my career, and contribute to my community.

However, everything changed with the outbreak of the war in Gaza. For nearly six months now, we have been living under constant bombardment. We lost everything — our homes, our businesses, our dreams. Forced to flee from north to south under terrifying airstrikes, we left with nothing but the clothes on our backs.

Today, my family and I are displaced in Khan Younis, Al-Mawasi, living in a small, overcrowded tent without basic necessities like clean water, food, or medical care. Contaminated water and scarce food supplies have led to serious illnesses among my brothers. Health, education, and public services in Gaza have been decimated — there are no hospitals, no schools, no safe shelters.

My father was injured during the war and urgently needs to travel abroad for medical treatment. The costs for his evacuation to Egypt, including necessary travel arrangements for him and a companion, are estimated at $14,000. We also urgently need around $5,000 for basic survival needs like winter clothing, safe shelter, and food.

Additionally, to repair our destroyed home and rebuild my educational center — our only source of income — we need approximately $30,000.

This is why I have launched this campaign: to save my family, to rebuild our lives, and to restore hope. With your support, we can escape the devastation, access medical care, find shelter, and start anew. I dream of continuing my education and providing my family with the stability and safety they deserve.

Every donation, no matter how small, will make a profound difference. Your help could save our lives, our future, and our dreams.

I am starting this campaign through Chuffed to ask for your solidarity. Please help me and my family find safety, rebuild our lives, and restore hope.

Thank you for standing with us.

Rula has asked me to share the below update from her doctor. Thank you everyone who is supporting her through this injury and through the ongoing genoicde.

“The patient is suffering from a forearm fracture (radius and ulna), as shown in the X-ray images dated 28/05/2025 and 29/07/2025. The arm was immobilized in a cast for two months at Al-Quds Hospital. However, after removing the cast, the patient still experiences severe pain, swelling at the fracture site, and difficulty moving the arm. The most recent X-ray shows incomplete healing, and surgical intervention (such as internal fixation with a metal plate) may be required depending on the orthopedic evaluation. The condition requires regular medical follow-up and physiotherapy after bone healing to regain strength and mobility.”

Rula asked me to post here with an update that she is in a lot of pain, due to her injury from an Israeli airstrike. She needs surgery but the wait at the hospital is long. Her healing is slow because of the lack of food and malnutrition.

Your continued support makes a big difference for her.

Rula asked me to update everyone here that she was injured in an Israeli bombardment and needs surgery next month.

Thank you for the solidarity of everyone who has donated already <3 Please continue to share and support her fundraiser. Palestine will be free! Lola Clark
