Hello, my friends, I am writing to you with a broken and shattered heart, and I hope that you will help me. I am Omar from Gaza. I was deprived of education because of the war and bombing. Our home was destroyed. My family consists of 9 people. We were all deprived of the most basic rights. I hope that you will help me so that my family and I can get out of this war, so that we can live in the simplest things. I have full hope in you, my friends.
My friends, we are suffering. The famine from the aid blockade has reached new difficulties. The price of a kilo of flour during these days has reached more than $80.
Over $1000 USD for a 25kg bag of flour.
Also, the price of one kilo of sugar reached more than $200 this week
The cost of this sugar in the photo is approximately $10.
We are hungry. This children cry from the pain. The adults feel dizzy and faint.

Earlier this month, we were told to evacuate. We had to move again, which is very expensive ($300). Thankfully, with your support, we were able to find a safer place.
But even here, we are in danger. Last night was a very difficult night for us. Bullets were raining down on us. The shooting did not stop throughout the night. We really escaped death. I share a photo of some shrapnel and a bullet hole in our tent.
We also face hunger daily. What little food available in Gaza is very expensive. My older brother found how to knead pasta so we could make bread because of the lack of flour and its high price. Although it is spoiled and full of worms and ants, its price is very high.
As you may have seen, most of Gaza lost internet access for a few days last week. Those were scary times for us, as we lost our connection to you, our friends who care about what is happening to us. We feared what would happen when the world could not see us or help us.
