“Light in the Darkness… Help my brother see life again.”

One day, unlike any other, life was going normally for my brother, Abdulkarim. He was an ambitious, high-achieving child who carried nothing but his dreams in his heart. But fate wanted his journey to be different. During the war, while trying to protect his loved ones, he was shot in the eye by a treacherous bullet, which took him from a world of colors to pitch darkness where he saw nothing but pain and silence.

Today, Abdulkarim faces a challenge greater than the war itself: a challenge to regain a part of his lost life. Doctors have confirmed that there is hope for his treatment (he requires several consecutive surgeries on the retina, cornea, and orbital reconstruction to install an artificial eye in his right eye. He also needs several surgeries on his left eye, as well as plastic surgery on the lower eyelid and eyelid). However, the cost is prohibitive, and the family does not have enough money to bear it alone.

Today, we extend our hands to you, the people of goodness. You are the hope that may restore light to his eyes. Every donation, no matter how small, is a step toward restoring his life, toward seeing his mother again, toward seeing life in all the details he missed.

Be a part of this story, help restore his hope.

Share his story, perhaps it will reach someone who can help him, because goodness lies within you, and hope lies within you.

Hello,

I’m managing Abdulkarim’s campaign and I’m very happy with the amount of support he’s been getting. Unfortunately, the situation in Gaza continues to get more difficult, and there are many other families in Gaza who remain in dire conditions. I am reaching out to everyone who has generously donated to Abdulkarim to ask them to please help some of my other friends:

Bshaer’s daughter Ayla was born during the genocide and not known any other life for her first year on this Earth. Unfortunately, she has been deprived of many of the nutrients she needs to grow and develop due to the lack of food in Gaza, and needs your support to stay healthy. She has begun to show symptoms of malnutrition. Please support her here: https://chuffed.org/project/121083-please-help-bshaer-and-baby-ayla-keep-their-home

Yahya’s uncle has serious health problems due to Israeli shrapnel lodged in his pancreas and duodenum. He needs a medical evacuation to support his survival. He needs to raise $1000 to begin the stages of leaving Gaza in order to receive the medical care he needs to survive. Please support him here: https://chuffed.org/project/121161-support-gaza-familys-journey-to-recovery

Thank you so much for supporting Abdulkarim and taking the time to read this communication.

Until liberation,

Salma
