Naheel Albayyari and his family have been living through the siege of Gaza since the fall of 2023 when they were displaced and their home in northern Gaza was bombed. They sheltered in a school building in Khan Younis, and with their livelihoods destroyed, have need support for daily necessities — from food, water, and medicine, to baby supplies, internet, and phone charging. After the ceasefire in January 2025, they relocated back to their partially destroyed home in Beit Hanoun, clearing out what they could and living in the ruins.
Naheel is part of a large family, older and younger siblings, many beloved nieces and nephews, and a community of around the world that cares about them. I live in Virginia, US, and am one of those. Naheel’s Instagram is here, with photos from before the war.
