Hello, my name is Jasmine (Taiwanese Australian), and I’m organising this fundraiser to support Amal, a passionate, ambitious, and determined 25 year old mother of two girls – Seba and Fatoma from Rafah, Gaza.

I first met Amal through a fundraising initiative she began at the start of the current conflict to support her displaced community in South Gaza. With incredible determination, Amal raised funds to purchase essential supplies—food, water, medicine, and mattresses in bulk—and distributed them to multiple families in need.

Over the past 19 months, I’ve gotten to know Amal and been deeply touched by her generosity, kindness, and unwavering integrity. Before the conflict, she worked as both a hairdresser and a kindergarten teacher. However, with the ongoing crisis, Amal’s ability to work has been severely impacted. Her husband was injured, and now, they rely solely on donations to survive.

The situation in Gaza is dire. As of March 2025, aid shipments are being blocked, and essential goods are being sold at sky-high prices. With limited access to basic supplies, Amal’s determination to create a better future for her family remains strong. She is hoping to use part of the funds raised to start a business and become financially independent, which would empower her to provide for her family without relying on donations.

Another urgent goal of this fundraiser is to help Amal and her family evacuate to Egypt as soon as the crossing opens. This is a desperate effort to escape the ongoing violence and genocide in Palestine. Coordination fees for the move are costly, and with the unpredictable ceasefire, it’s crucial that we act quickly to ensure their safe relocation.

Unfortunately, Palestinians are currently unable to run fundraisers on this platform, so I will be managing this campaign from Australia and will ensure that all funds are directly transferred to Amal as they come in.

Your support means everything, not just for Amal’s survival, but for her hopes of rebuilding a life for herself and her children in the face of unimaginable hardship.

Thank you for your generosity.

Jasmine

Hello, I am Amal from Gaza.

My house was very beautiful. I still haven’t paid the rest of the debts, but the occupation destroyed most of it and now we live in the other half.

The house looks like it has a ghost in it and it’s raining

After October 7, we were forced to leave our house, but we would not agree. They started bombing everywhere like crazy. I lost my relatives and they were martyred.

Here was my beautiful vacation spot I was a ladies hairdresser but now I lost it

We had no gas and cooked everything on the fire.

I have a problem with water, I have to go a long way to buy it

We also suffer from the prices of vegetables. When the crossing is closed, the prices of vegetables rise like crazy.

When we buy all the necessary vegetables, we need 150 shekels.

Every week.

** This price has already risen now the borders have closed.

We were forced to leave our home and go live in a tent, and that’s when the suffering began.

Our life has become full of insects/ pests.

Thank you
