Meet Fahd: Fahd is a 22-year-old from northern Gaza who has taken on an immense responsibility. After his brother was martyred, Fahd married his late brother’s wife, Jumana, to ensure that his brother’s two young children, 4-year-old Mervat and 2-year-old Ahmed, remain safe, loved, and supported within their family. He is doing everything he can to provide for them, but life in Gaza under constant siege and bombardment has made survival incredibly difficult.
The Reality in Gaza: The war has taken everything from Fahd and his family. Access to food, clean water, medical care, and basic necessities is nearly impossible. Prices for essentials have skyrocketed, and humanitarian aid is extremely limited. Despite these challenges, Fahd remains determined to protect and care for his brother’s children, ensuring they do not suffer the loss of their father alone.
