Hello. I have been asked to help with a campaign for an internally displaced family from the Gaza Strip. The girl organizing this had technical issues with her prior campaigns.
Since the crisis began, their home has been destroyed and they have been displaced. She and her family still need shelter, food, water, medicine, and any other survival necessities to live and eventually rebuild their lives from the rubble. Here is what she provided for me to put on the campaign:
We Need Your Help to Escape Gaza – short-term goal Goal: $5,000
My family is trapped in Al-Shuja’iyya, one of the most destroyed areas in Gaza. We are 5 people, including children, trying to survive under constant bombing, hunger, and fear. We are not safe. We have no home. And we are running out of time. We are trying to raise $5,000 to evacuate, find shelter, and cover basic needs like food, water, and medicine. Every dollar brings us closer to safety. Please don’t ignore our cries. If you can’t donate, please share. You could help save an entire family from this nightmare.
Regular costs beyond just the current need for evacuation:
Food and Water: A monthly estimate of $2,000 for food.
Cleaning Supplies: Around $1,400 for essential hygiene and household supplies.
Medical Care and Necessities: Approximately $4,000 for medication and other needs for the extended family that my family supports.
New short-term goal: This time we are looking to raise $5,000 to cover the family’s rent and food for the month. It will mean they can eat and will not be forced to move. They say the famine is more talked about than the massacres. The food situation is very bad.
Be aware that there are fees and exchange rates amounting to roughly 50%. For example, if you give $100, they will receive ~$50.

Hello. There have been some updates on the situation:
Their father has suffered a stroke, and the family needs adequate shelter. Rent is very expensive due to the mass destruction of housing units across the Gaza Strip over the past almost two years. To make things worse, due to transfer fees and exchange rates, only approximately ~50% of the value donated to the campaign actually makes it to them, adding a drastically increased financial burden. They estimate they gave was about ~$500 per day. We ask that you continue your generosity and support our friends in this awful time and to share with your friends and family who care about this cause. Thank you all for your generosity so far.
