My name is Soukhena a college student from the US, creating a campaign on behalf of a beloved friend Ibrahim and his sister Eman. Here are their words:

“The war ended after 470 days of suffering, pain, displacement, bombings, and fear—fear that has followed us since the early hours of October 7, 2023, until now.

A month before the war ended, our home and all our memories were destroyed, shattering the only hope my three children had of returning to their beautiful life, the corners of our home, and their toys, which they still remember in every detail.

I was devastated when I saw my beautiful home reduced to nothing. Where are our belongings, my children’s clothes, my new kitchen, and my old life? Every piece of furniture in our home carried a story and was dear to my heart. All the hopes in my heart froze, and all dreams were postponed.

I write these words to you now after suffering a nervous breakdown from the pain and anguish I am living through. I humbly ask for your help to rebuild our home in a short time so that we can live with dignity and my children can grow up like other children around the world—in a safe, warm home instead of the camps that cause them sickness and despair.

Please, any donation, no matter how small, will be a reason to bring life and hope back to our hearts. Don’t forget to share this campaign with your family and friends.”

Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
