I’m Amal Al-Ajouri, a 23 year old computer systems engineering student at the Al-Azhar University. I was in my 4th and last year of university when my life turned upside down after the 7th of October 2024. Before the war, I lived with my Mom (45), my Dad (50) my brothers Amir (21), Anas (19), Ahmed (8) and my sister Asmaa (17).

The occupation army completely destroyed our home and forced us to move to the south. However, they blocked my father and brothers from passing safely. They kept them in the North under bombing and torture camps while we spent months unable to see them or hear from them at all. They were bombed and starved in Kamal Adwan hospital and forced to move to another make-shift medical facility.

The women in the family and myself took temporary shelter near a UN school for months. Occupation soldiers recently stormed the place and forced us further south. We are all crammed up in my aunt’s tent; freezing, hungry, under heavy bombardement in Nusseirat, and unusure if we will live to see another day every time we go to sleep.

We have dreams and aspirations too! We want to rebuild our life. Is it fair that the world gets to dream and live peacefully while we starve under bombardement?

Imagine spending months unable to communicate with your father while he tries holding on to dear life. My father was injured by bomb shrapnel in his chest while trying to help people who were themselves bombed by the occupation. His health is deteriorating fast. I need to secure medicine for him urgently!

We are imploring you to help us! Your donations will go directly to securing medicine, food, water, blankets, jackets, shoes, and other basic necessities to survive in the cold tents. Every single dollar counts and we are grateful for your help!
