Hello – I’m Carrie Leung and I reside in the United States. I’m running this campaign on behalf of Jihad Nabil Mohammed Ghanem, his wife, and one week old daughter Suham.

Jihad is from north Gaza and was married two months before the genocide started. He used to rent a one bedroom apartment with his family including his wife, parents, and two brothers. He and his pregnant wife was displaced to south Gaza and was faced with cold and hunger.

One week ago baby Suham was born and even though he’s asked aid organizations for help, he has not received help. With the ceasefire, aid should be flowing in but until it reaches everyone, Jihad still needs to buy milk and diapers for baby Suham. He also will need a proper tent for baby Suham to stay warm.

Jihad plans to head back north to reunite with the rest of his family once it is safe.

To those who donate, share, pray, comment, THIS FAMILY THANKS YOU! Please! Help me help others.

Thank you to everyone who donated after hearing jihad (dad) got shot. I sent over $365 total and with that they were able to get medicine, one can of formula, and some small amount of food.

before they got the money mom actually had to take baby suham to the hospital because she ran out of milk and was getting dehydrated. You can see in the most recent picture, she’s lost her baby fat . I put one of her chubbier days for reference.

please please continue to support this family whether it is continuing to donate or sharing the campaign with family and friends. As you can see it is little food they were able to purchase and there is only one can of formula which lasts only 3-4 days.

may the end be flooded in soon. Until then please help.

URGENT UPDATE

I wish my updates weren’t all such terrible news. On 7/9/25, Shaima (mom) sent me a message that Jihad had been shot going to the Gaza Humanitarian Foundation trying to collect aid. I had just recently sent over $424 on 6/30, but with the commssion rate close to 40%, they only receive $254 which they use to buy formula for Suham.

Jihad was shot in the leg and taken to a hospital. He thankfully is alive, but require money to get dressing for the wound and to travel to the hospital. I did check that the treatment itself is free because it is a government hospital, but gauze and antiseptic is not free.

I hope this community can rally behind this family and give them a bit of a boost so Jihad can get some money to address his medical situation. Also Suham still needs milk and as she is now 6 months will need to start solids.

I’m including recent pictures of Suham and injured Jihad. Thank you for your continued support.

Sorry – I definitely owe the an update. Thankfully Suham and her parents are still alive. Ahmadullah.

Like pretty much everyone in Gaza it has been extremely difficult for the Ghanem family in the last 70+ days because of the blockade. The parents are eating one meal a day and making bread from pasta. Flour is so expensive it is pretty much out of their reach. Baby Suham has had a few times where she was out of milk for a day or two and I reached out to other mutual aids to ask them to help. For reference, a can of formula that costs $35 USD will last for only about 4-5 days so it’s a very temporary stop gap measure when the mutual aid helps.

A little over a week ago I lost touch with them for about a week and feared the worst. I had another contact on the ground call them and found out that where the family was staying at was bombed. Suham suffered smoke inhalation but is now fine. Her dad suffered an injury but was conscious and capable enoguh to talk to my contact. They lost their beongings and is now staying in a relative’s tent. They have no money for food.

I am trying to arrange at least for mlik to be brought to Suham soon, but I would love to get another $500 to send to this family, so they can purchase some the parents can buy some food and continue to buy milk and diapers for Suham.

Thank you for reading if you have made it all the way through. And if you are on instagram @baby_siham123.
