Help Two Brothers, Youssef and Mahmoud Survive in Gaza

Hello, I am Holton Grossl and I am based out of Salt Lake City, Utah. I am raising funds for two brothers from northern Gaza who are trying to survive an extremely violent campaign of ethnic cleansing at the hands of the occupation forces. They were referred to me by friends I’ve made over there throughout the last year and have been in constant contact with. They have been through more in the last year than most people could ever imagine and I hope you will read their story and consider supporting them.
Youssef Muhammad Abu Shamala (22) and Mahmoud Muhammad Abu Shamala (19) are two brothers who have been displaced in Gaza. Their family home in Jabalia was bombed near the start of the war and their entire family was martyred leaving the brothers as the only survivors. Both of them sustained serious injuries and Mahmoud’s hand was severely damaged. They remained in the hospital for nearly a month until it was besieged forcing them to take shelter elsewhere.
In October of 2024 they were displaced yet again when the occupation entered Jabalia and they were forced to flee to the south with only the clothes on their back. They are now living in Khan Yunis in a makeshift tent with no support, no income and very limited supplies.
Winter is here and they are in dire need of support. Your donations will help them to acquire the critical supplies they need including a proper tent shelter, medicine to treat Mahmouds hand and food as prices have become exorbitantly expensive. All of the money raised will go directly to Youssef and Mahmoud’s immediate survival needs.
On top of this I would like to get them any funds in case the opportunity arises for them escape and seek asylum elshwere. They will need all the help they can get crossing the border and having money for refuge.
I have set up a dedicated bank account for the brothers, and all money collected will be held in this account until requested. Upon request, funds will be transferred to them via their preferred money transfer service, wire transfer or Western Union.

—Siege on Gaza City—- This week the Israeli cabinet approved a full take over of central Gaza where the brothers are located. In the last two days they have seen an immense escalation of bombings throughout their area and have recieved evacuation orders. Due to this they have made the difficult decision to move south to another area to avoid an increasigly dangerous and violent threat by the occupation. The journey can be extremely dangerous and requires purchasing supplies to make the trek and hiring some form of transportation to help move what they have towards the south. At this time I am asking for donations from anyone who has the means to do so.
Since I opened the campaign Mahmoud and Youseff have been through a lot, even with everything terrible that has happened to them prior, things have only deteriorated. The brothers were temperarily able find some small bit of peace and safety during the short ceasefire in January. Since the occupation has reignited their war on the people of Gaza the brother’s have had to flee yet again abandoning their tent in Jabaila under evacuation orders and heavy bombadment and are living on the streets in the west of Gaza. Internet has been extremely spotty but they’ve been able to reach out to me only a couple of times to update me. I have been sending my own money as this campaign has been struggling to raise badly needed funds. If you see this PLEASE try to donate.
