Thank you for getting to this campaign, I hope you will read through Ali’s story in its entirety. My name is Chloe Barker and I am a dental hygienist living in northern Indiana, USA. I met Ali Alzaq through Instagram, where he shared with me his story and requested for help. I began helping on Gofundme, but due to their fees I have moved the campaign here. Here is Ali’s story:

Ali and his immediate family consist of his wife, Suhair, and their young son, Muhammed. They are from Shuja’iyya, Gaza City and have been displaced to the Deir Al-Balah camps in central Gaza. They are currently living in a tent with extremely limited resources, including food, water, clothes, and medications.

Ali has a rare condition called Bartter disease, which causes problems including low potassium levels and affects the muscles, inhibiting Ali from working. His former job was as a cleaner in a school, and Suhair worked as a nurse in a children’s hospital. Due to his condition, Ali is not able to find work and Suhair is working part-time at a medical center so she can continue to help sick children. Unfortunately, due to the circumstances there, their income is sporadic, irregular, and sometimes none at all.

Ali’s main goals from this campaing include:

-continue to be able to provide clean water and food for his family

-continue to stay on medications

-warm clothes for the winter months

-eventually get back into a home (not a tent)

I hope that this campaign is helpful to this family, and I will continue to update with any news from Ali. We thank you so much for reading his story and helping in any way you can. 100% of donations received are sent to Ali through PayPal.

The Alzaq family has been living in the Souk Firas camp, along with 8 others (including their parents). They are constantly in need of food, water, and medicine, and anything else they are able to procure.

Thakfully, commission has dropped from 45% to 38%, so when I just sent over $500, they received $310. They were able to purchase food, supplies, and even new clothes for Mohammed!

This isn’t over, there is still no way for their family to make an income, and Ali is still in need of his potassium medication daily. Please continue your support, it means the world to this family and is the only way they have been able to survive with any dignity during this genocide.

Ali and his family have been displaced again due to immediate danger in the Zeitoun area to Tal al-Hawa.

They are unable to afford the rent in this new place, so they traveled back to their tent and found it torn from shrapnel.

Help is desperately needed for this family, please donate and share this campaign.

Quick update!

I sent the Alzaq family $200 and they were able to get flour!!!!!

Unfortunately, this amount doesn’t go far, they are trying to be able to purchase 1 kilo of flour every 2 days, and the prices are still insane and the aid is not being distributed in any meaningful way.

current prices:

Flour (1 kilo) – $40

Cooking oil – $60

Sugar – $60

The Alzaqs request your continued support for them to be able to eat and live at this time! I wish they can eat bread every single day, and anything else they can find! Food and water is still very very limited in Gaza. Thank you all for your continued support.
