Urgent help for Eman’s family in Gaza
Canada
I am Eman Ismail from Gaza. I live with my family of eight.
After 445 days, I cannot find the appropriate words to express the extent of the destruction left by the war. The occupation destroyed our home, our dreams, and our livelihood. My husband Ahmad is injured and recently has had surgery.
My daughter Baraa was majoring in Education at the University of Al-Aqsa. After the occupation destroyed her university, she is forced to complete her degree online despite difficulties like constant power outages, internet outages, displacement, bombings, etc.
My sons Sameh, 10 years old, and Aboud, 9 years old, suffer from psychological trauma as their schools were destroyed and they lost a whole academic year. They travel long distances to life essentials such as firewood. Where is their childhood?
We still cook on firewood due to the shortage of cooking gas, and I wash clothes by hand. We buy fresh water because the existing water is polluted and not suitable for drinking.
We suffer from high prices of vegetables and essential items. A bag of flour has become unattainable due to its high price, which is about $300.
Finally, I hope you help me provide food, drink, and clothing for my family. We still have hope to rebuild our lives for the better, and with your help and donations we will be able to do so. Every dollar counts and your support will not only provide my family with a lifeline but will restore our hope for a brighter future. Your generosity is essential to our survival. Your donations, no matter how small, will make a difference. Thank you for your kindness and generosity.
