Help Mahmoud’s family survive in Gaza
United States
I’m fundraising for my friend Mahmoud in Sheikh Radwan Nazih, Gaza.
Mahmoud is a husband and father of three, and he currently doesn’t have any way to support his family: his wife Wafaa and their children Samar (11), Mohammed (2) and Fayez (9 months, born during this horrible time) are all hungry.
I’m raising money to send them to buy food, milk, and diapers. Their youngest, Fayez, doesn’t have the basic things he needs to grow up healthy. I’m very worried about them all.
He made his living through driving, but since the war started his car broke down and was bombed. They were forced to abandon their house, and have no idea if it’s still standing or not. They lived for several days in the street, and thank God are now sheltered, staying five to a room with Mahmoud’s uncle.
Mahmoud and I talk regularly. He’s an extremely generous person and, like everyone, deserves so much more than he has right now.
You already know how dire the situation is. As long as the assaults on Palestine continue, every day is worse than before.
The break down of costs is simple: we’re trying to raise $1000 for the family. Of course any extra funds will also go directly to the family, or (inshallah) should they not need it, another family in Palestine.
Any help you can provide is graciously appreciated, and the funds will reach them in Gaza in a few days. For those of us not in Palestine, it’s up to be us to be not only generous but courageous with our generosity. Please don’t put yourself in a bad financial situation by donating, but do consider stretching your comfort level in order to help this family survive the genocide.
