Noor is a mother of 3 children, Huda, Sham, and Osama. On October 8th, 2023, Noor was forced to leave her home in North Gaza for what they were told would be a safe zone in the south. She was seperated from her husband. Sadly he was captured by the occupation and has been held hostage since. They have not heard from him and do not know where he is being held.
Her father was also captured, tortured, and he was released in December 2024.
On December 7th, 2024, the home that Noor and her children were seeking refuge in, was bombed. Noor recounted to me the events that followed… When she came to, she begin screaming and searching for little Osama. When she found him, his head had swollen massively in size, and he was unresponsive. Rushed to the hospital, doctors worked to try and revive him, but after 12 attempts to bring life back to him. He was declared dead. Noor was given his shrouded body due to the lack of refrigeration for martyrs. She said she began weeping, and screams came from her soul. She was holding his feet , crying out to God. Suddenly, she heard, mamma! . God brought her son back to her she screamed for doctors and help, and he was taken into the hospital. He was treated and released.
A true miracle from God
Noor continues to live with Osama and her other children in a tent, in Mawasi Khan Yunis. He father is suffering from PTSD from the torture he endured and is unable to sleep or find peace in his mind. He needs psych medicine and treatment. She is responsible for him and her children.
The family also needs food, clothes, and a new tent.
