Hello, my name is Catherine, I’m from the US. I’m a mom to two little kids, a cake decorator/baker and a humanitarian. I am organizing this campaign on behalf of my friend Sharif Al-Khufari from Northern Gaza. The following is a message from Sharif.
Hello, my name is Sharif Al-Khudari, a 28-year-old Palestinian young man from Gaza, from a poor family of 7. I finished my university studies for 2 years at Al-Aqsa University, Department of Public Relations and Media. I was working in the Turkish DeFacto clothing agency store as a visual display manager. I had many goals and ambitions that I was striving to achieve, but they were all extinguished. My family and I were subjected to a barbaric bombing on 12/2/2023. I was seriously injured in the neck with an iron rod that was 1 cm away from the vein, and my finger and the phone that I was holding in my hand were broken. I also suffered second-degree burns to my body. According to the doctors, I miraculously survived this injury. I also lost some of my family members, my mother and brothers were injured, our house was almost completely destroyed, and my workplace was bombed and turned into rubble. We lost everything: the warmth of the family and being in a safe home. My work, our friends, our loved ones, and even beautiful memories. Everything became dark. It has been more than 450 days since this ugly war. I saved an amount of money to achieve one of my goals and the joy of my family and my mother, which is marriage, but because of the war, famine, high prices and my attempt to help my family as much as possible, unfortunately nothing remains of this amount. This dream has gone away completely and now I am very helpless and I ask you, my dear ones, to stand by my side and help me and know that any amount, no matter how small, will help me restore myself and revive the opportunity to survive and live with the rights of a free human being.
