Hi, I’m Nancy from the UK, and I’m helping my friend Abdul Qader in Gaza raise money to rebuild his life. Here is his story:
A slave’s story is more than a war-torn Gaza love story – it’s a call to all of us who believe in the power of society to make a difference.
Abdul Qader is 30 years old and from Gaza. He spent years in Turkey, working hard to save money to marry the love of his life.
Finally, in 2023, he saved enough and returned to Gaza to achieve his dreams. But his plans were shattered when the bombing destroyed the house he had bought for them to move in after the marriage. The war took away everything he had, including Abdul Qader himself and the years of hard work he put in. It even deprived him of the opportunity to marry the one he loves.
Now Abdul Qader is seeking to raise $50,000 to secure a fresh start and rebuild his life away from the conflict in Gaza.

2023年に彼はついに十分なお金を貯めてガザに戻り、夢を叶える準備を整えてました。
しかし、そこで戦争が勃発。結婚後に二人が移り住む予定だった家が破壊され、彼は一瞬にして築き上げてきたものすべてを失いました。何よりも彼自身の心も…長年の努力は水の泡となったのはもちろん、婚約者と離れ離れになってしまったため、結婚の機会さえも奪われてしまったのです。
たくさんの友人を失い、あまりに悲惨な現状を前に消えてなくなりたいと思ったことさえありました。しかしガザや日本からのたくさんの励ましを受け、悲しみと苦しみを乗り越え、ようやくご自身の人生を再建しようと立ち上がりました。
現在、アブドゥル・カーディルは5万ドルを集め、紛争から離れてエジプトの安全な環境で新しい人生を始めるとともに、未来に向けて生活を再建しようとしています。
みなさまの助けでアブドゥル・カーディルは未来を築き直し、愛する女性と結婚して人生をやり直すことができます。彼はこれまで自分自身より他人を優先して、ボロボロになりながらもガザを献身的に支えてきました。今度は彼が幸せになる番です。

アブドゥルカーデルさんはガザ北部でなんとか命を繋いでいます。生きていくために、今はどうしてもご寄付に頼らざるを得ません。そこで以前ご寄付をしてくださった方に、再度の寄付のお願いを兼ねて、近況をお知らせすることにしました。
彼は爆撃に追われ、もう何度となく避難を繰り返してきました。食べない日も多く、疲労が積もり、ネット接続ポイントに行くのも困難だといいます。DMで切れ切れに送ってくる言葉は、「生きていくのがすごくつらい」「もう諦めた」「希望がない」など。 そんな中でも困窮している友人家族の心配をしたり、まわりの人々の役に立つことを見つけようとしたりしていますが、ものが手に入らず、爆撃の危険に晒されながらの毎日では、できることも限られています。
彼が命を繋ぐためのご寄付を、今一度ご検討いただけないでしょうか。少額から、本当にありがたいです。 動画は6月中旬にご本人が送ってくれたもの。アブドゥルカーデルさんが瓦礫と爆弾の残骸の散らばる中を歩いています。
Abdul Qader is barely surviving in northern Gaza. To keep going, he has no choice but to rely on donations. We are reaching out to those who have previously donated to ask for your continued support and to share an update on his situation.
He has been forced to flee multiple times due to bombings. He often goes without food, is exhausted, and finds it difficult to access the internet. The fragmented messages he sends us via DM include phrases like, “life is very hard,” “I have given up,” and “I am hopeless.” Despite his own hardships, he cares about his struggling friends and family, and tries to find ways to help neighbours. However, with limited access to supplies and the constant danger of airstrikes, there is little he can do.
