“My name is Roya Al-Aqraa and I am 14 years old.

My life was destroyed because of the war [in G@z@]. I lost my education and my friends, I lost my school, and no longer have days that are filled with goodness. My father was captured by the !OF and has been a prisoner for several months, and we have no idea when or if he will be released. My sister’s hand was burned during a b*mb*ng, my grandmother was k*lled, and my family is all suffering in our mental health because of the violence around us.

I have been deprived of my education and the occupation destroyed my dreams and ambitions.

My entire life has been destroyed.

I hope to become a teacher and to help all the children who live around me, and through this, to help support my own family.

The number of members in my family is 8 people:

Muhammad Fathi Sami Al-Aqra’ is 18 years old

Rehab Fathi Sami Al-Aqraa, 15 years old

Rawaa Fathi Sami Al-Aqraa is 11 years old

Ahmed Fathi Sami Al-Aqraa, age 8

Sanad Fathi Sami Al-Aqraa, 2 years old

My father: Fathi Sami Ahmed Al-Aqra’, 43 years old

And my mother: Faten Muhammad Ahmed Al-Aqra’, aged 40

Please help me as much as you can.”

~Roya, age 14, G@z@

Roya desperately needs diapers for her youngest sibling, food, water, and a tent that can withstand the harsh elements that this winter will bring.

About the Organizer / Verification Process My name is Nadja and I am one of the organizers with PDX Pigeon Mutual Aid. We’re a small team of friends and organizers located in Portland Oregon, and we provide direct support to families in G*** that have been displaced. You can learn more by visiting our instagram, @pdxpigeonmutualaid.

Each familiy we support has been verified by video chat, phone call, and Pal******** ID, through an already verified friend or family member, or through some combination of the above.

I am personally in touch with Roya and we speak on a regular basis.

Please help support her through this horrific and unimaginable time!

With Gratitude,

Roya, her beautiful family, and Nadja

We would like to offer our most heartfelt gratitude to all the donors who have helped Roya and her family survive these most difficult times. Without generous donors like yourself, they would not have made it this far. We hope you will consider continuing to support them in these most trying times.

As you probably know already, the conditions in G^za the last couple of months have been the worst so far. No aid has been let in and food & supplies have dwindled and widespread famine has set in. Everything that remains is extremely expensive. It costs $25 for a small bottle of water & $100 for a small bit of flour. The children have had to look for food in the garbage & have resorted to eating moldy, rotten bread & other scraps they find because they are so desperate. There has been heavy bombing in all locations and many have had to evacuate multiple times in just the last couple of months. They are all starving, exhausted, and many are severely dehydrated.

Roya’s family is starving and in desperate need of funds for food and water! In addition, Roya hurt her hand and is now injured.

It is important to us that we continue to provide support to help ease their pain and offer some comfort and hope. Roya has not received many donations in the last two months. Please consider making another donation to help Roya and her sweet family buy food and water. Thank you!

With so much love and gratitude,

Roya, her family, & Emily from PDX Pigeon Mutual Aid

Thanks to donors like you, we were able to send Roya and her family $120 last month. Roya was very grateful for your support for her and her family. Unfortunately last week Israel called off the ceasefire and they shut down the borders preventing any new aid getting in to G^za. The prices on any remaining resources have quadrupled in the past few days. It is extremely frustrating and unfortunate, but they need our help and continued support regardless of the circumstances they face. Please consider donating to Roya and her family on a regular basis and or sharing her story with others who might be able to help. Thank you for standing with Roya and PDX Pigeon Mutual Aid in this time of hardship and crisis in G^za.

Thank you to our donors for supporting Roya’s campaign. So far, in the last couple of months we have only been able to raise $191 on her personal campaign, but we were able to give her some additional funds through our group Chuffed fund and from some Venmo and Paypal donations. Roya really needs more support with getting more visibility to her campaign, so if you are able to share this campaign and spread it around social media and to friends and family, that would be super helpful. Even though there was a ceasefire announced, there have still been attacks and they will continue to need your support as they try to survive and rebuild. Although there have been more aid trucks able to get in to G^za, there are still merchants who are hijacking the trucks and then jacking up prices instead of providing food and supplies for free. It is extremely frustrating and unfortunate, but they need our help regardless of the circumstances they face. Thank you for standing with Roya and PDX Pigeon Mutual Aid in this time of hardship and crisis in G^za.
