Help Khaled and Dina’s Family Survive
United States
“I am Khaled, a young Pal*****ian from G*z* City. I am 21 years old. I used to work and I studied design at a university. I took graphic design courses and had a very happy life. I dreamed of working outside the country in my chosen field of work, beginning to build my future.
But suddenly, without warning, we woke up to the sound of bombing, destruction, martyrs, and injuries. After that, me and my family of 15 were displaced from our homes due to the bombing that happened to us. We took refuge in the school shelter, but we could not withstand the intensity of the bombing that we were exposed to. The school in which we took refuge was bombed, so we decided to move to the city of Nuseirat, and we took refuge again in a displacement school, and we stayed for two months, but the occupation bombed the school again.
We miraculously survived, but we were displaced again to the city of Deir al-Balah, and they did not have room in the schools for shelter. Me and my family remained in the streets of the city until we were able to make a small tent. The tent is not big enough for us and does not protect us from the sun’s rays, the cold weather, and the insects that came out of the ground for us. We suffer with food and water that is not suitable for drinking, and the prices are high. The tools that we need to use daily are not provided, and the electricity has not been provided for 9 months. The Internet gets off, and we are cut off from the world.
I want my dream to come true with all your help. I am caring for my mother, who needs medical support for high blood pressure, my father, and my elderly disabled grandfather. Please donate to me and my family so we can live a safe life.”

They all need food, better shelter, and medical supplies.
I’m Nastya, one of the organizers with PDX Pigeon Mutual Aid. We’re a small team of friends and organizers located in Portland Oregon, and we provide direct support to multiple families in G@za that have been displaced, all of whom are facing the most dire and dangerous conditions on our planet right now.
Each family we support has been verified by video chat, phone call, and a P@lestian ID, or through an already verified friend or family member, or through some combination of the above. You can learn more by visiting our instagram, @pdxpigeonmutualaid.
Our hope is to always try to connect families in G@z@ with as many other on-the-ground organizations as possible, but we are seeing more and more that getting aid from these groups is sometimes impossible and very dangerous in terms of traveling to find these groups and actually connecting with these groups in the first place. While NGOs still offer some forms of aid on the ground, many of them continue to have their aid compromised, stripped, halted, or destroyed before getting into G@z@, so the only actual guaranteed form of support right now is direct donations.
Donating directly to Khaled and Dina’s family is truly the only way right now we can ensure that their specific needs are being met and that they do not have to make dangerous trips to risk their lives beyond what they are already experiencing.
There is no watering this down — Khaled and his family, like every P@lestinian in G@za, is living in and experiencing the most dire circumstances. The only thing that is allowing many of those who are surviving to continue to do so is through donations collected for them.
Our mutual aid group will do our best to offer updates and transparency reports that you can access.
Thank you so much for your care, your donations, your solidarity and support! You are truly saving lives.
With much gratitude,
– Khaled, Dina, and PDX Pigeon Mutual Aid
Khaled and Dina are in dire straits. Bombings in the north of G*z* continue after the most recent evacuation order, and Khaled and Dina’s family is considering moving south. They need money to do so. Leaving their current home means abandoning the crops they’ve established—including corn, locust, and molokhia—but they might have to do so in order to survive. Right now, in G*z* City, living becomes more and more untenable.
Khaled is also requesting help purchasing an iPhone—one that can use an e-SIM card that he received via donation—so that he can stay better connected online. Khaled’s mother also still needs medication for her blood pressure, and Dina for her celiac disease.
Khaled and Dina’s family thank all of you for standing with them through this war. They ask that you don’t forget them as their situation gets harder.
The situation for Khaled, Dina and their family is dire. They have been ordered to evacuate yet again, but they cannot because the process is extremely expensive. Food is increasingly scarce, with prices for flour an astronomical $500/bag. Their mother’s medication is also very expensive and difficult to find. Every day is a struggle, and they desperately need your help to survive.
Khaled and Dina thank you from the bottom of their hearts for all the support you’ve already given them. Please continue to help this family hold on, as they do everything they can to navigate an impossible situation.
Khaled and Dina are beyond grateful for all the help they’ve received from generous donors like you. These last several weeks have been very difficult on Khaled and Dina. They’ve been evacuated to the west side of G@z@ C1ty, away from their home, and live in a tent on the street again. Bombings have increased. All aid for G@z@ has been blocked at the border. Consequently, what food and supplies remain have skyrocketed in price. Khaled and Dina need your help meeting their basic needs, and their mother is struggling with low blood pressure and requires medicine. Any support you can provide will go a long way for them. Thank you for continuing to show your support.
