Hello, my name is Raymond Kang, and I am creating this campaign for my friend Ibrahim and his family. In my on-going, feeble efforts to pay reparations to the people of Palestine as a U. S. citizen in Chicago, I am raising funds to support their survival.

Ibrahim’s words follow (lightly edited for clarity):

*********

I am Ibrahim Mahmoud Al-Najjar. I lost my home and everything I own in life as a result of the conflict and war in the Gaza Strip.

I have three daughters. We live in a tent that does not protect against the extreme cold. My children are shivering from the cold.

Help me and my family to get money to meet the high price of medicine and food. Hand in hand, we can overcome difficulties. Please be generous for the sake of my children. They live in hell.

Every day in Gaza is a nightmare, and this is our last hope. This is our story.

We had a beautiful home that I was very proud of – the girls’ bedrooms were decorated with their favorite toys, and every evening when I came home from work I would cook delicious traditional food for us to share. It was a happy family home.

On October 7, we had to leave our home in the eastern city of Khan Yunis and head west. We fled to the Khan Yunis schools and were forced to live in a shelter with more than 20,000 other people, with almost no water or food. We lost weight and got sick.

After three months there, Israeli tanks surrounded the shelter and intense bombardment began. Many died when the shelter was attacked, but we managed to escape and had to move again, this time to a tent south of Al-Mawasi.

We are still there. It is cold and wet, and there is almost no food, water or hygiene.

Hello all,

I am saddened to report that Ibrahim was martyred by the occupation. Please read this plea from his wife, Alaa:

I am Alaa from Gaza.

I have three daughters. My eldest daughter is Layan, she is 8 years old. My middle daughter is Lina, she is 7 years old. My youngest daughter is Masa, she is 3 years old.

I lost my beloved husband, the father of my daughters. We have no one to provide for us in this world. I lost my home and my ambitions in this cursed war.

Please help Alaa and her daughters survival by donating if you can and sharing widely amongst your circles.

We’re all we’ve got. Be well.
