Hello, I’m Cata from Spain, and I’m helping Haitham Essam Abu Alyan, who lives in Gaza / Khan Younis to raise some money to survive, he is a family friend and I will send him the money via PayPal.

Haitham Essam is the eldest of six siblings and is responsible for taking care of his son, siblings, wife, and parents. They are currently in Gaza, enduring continuous displacements.

We have created this campaign to raise an amount to ensure their basic needs and some money for their future.

As we all know, everything in Gaza is scarce and very expensive. Feeding an entire family of nine is challenging; preventing everyone, especially the children, from going hungry is crucial.

Since October 7th, 2023, Haitham and his family have endured multiple displacements — the most recent one in May 2025. They had been living among the ruins of their former home, which had previously been bombed and burned. Despite everything, it was still a place they could call their own, offering some shelter from the elements.

But now, they’ve been displaced again, this time to the Al-Mawasi area, with almost nothing — they were only able to take a few pieces of clothing.

They have no tent, no shelter of any kind, and are in urgent need of one. They need a space where they can protect themselves from the sun and have even a small sense of privacy. There are three adults, three children, and two babies — including Haitham’s older sister, who was also forced to evacuate and is now staying with them. They are all together, living in extremely harsh conditions.

Their house was bombed and destroyed, leaving them unable to live there. They have become homeless, like so many others in Gaza. They lost their home, their memories, and the security of having a place where their children can grow up.

Haitham’s family consists on nine members, and he is solely responsible for securing donations to ensure their survival.

On one side, there are Haitham’s parents and four siblings, and on the other, his wife and their baby. These people deserve much more.

Additionally, Haitham was injured during a bombing, suffering a severe chest contusion.

I encourage you to contribute to this urgent campaign so they can avoid hunger and survive.

They have to try to cook in very difficult circumstances.

After the closure of Rafah, the price of even the most basic necessities has skyrocketed. The amount they need daily or weekly is very high, making it impossible for them to afford essential items like meat or basic personal hygiene products.

The sooner we reach the goal of this campaign, the better they can plan their purchases, allowing them to eat meat on occasion. Let’s help them grow up healthy.

The levels of destruction are extremely high; just look at the photos.

If you’ve made it this far, I want to thank you. At this point in our story, we would greatly appreciate a donation—any amount is welcome. If that’s not possible, please share our story. We don’t want to give up, but we need your help. If you think this won’t make a difference, I’m here to tell you that it will. Choose your cause; small actions sustained over time can make a big impact.

Hello dear friends,

I want to share a new update about Haitham and his family.

Unfortunately, we only manage to raise some support when I publish messages like this, reminding everyone that we’ve gone days without receiving any donations.

Everyone is exhausted. In the past, Haitham dedicated much more time to managing donations, but now, with the constant internet blackouts and overwhelming fatigue, it has become very difficult for him to continue as before.

The reality is harsh: they depend on our help to eat and survive. We are now approaching September, and soon it will be two years since all of this began.

These updates have turned into a kind of diary. But what more can I say, when week after week I find myself here, trying to explain the same thing? I feel we are stuck in a loop, and it breaks my heart to think of the exhaustion they are enduring. It is so terrible that I can hardly comprehend it.

Today, I’m simply here with a broken heart, once again pleading for people’s support.

I know they are terribly worn out, with no rest and no comfort. Soon summer will end, and with winter arriving we’ll need to support them even more, as they are living exposed to the elements, sleeping in a canvas tent. That terrifies me.

The biggest challenge is that everything is lived day by day, and the top priority is always food—whose prices are unbearably high.

I try to explain their situation as clearly as possible, so you can see how difficult things are. I hope you can share this campaign with your friends and family, so that more people can reach out to support Haitham and his family. More and more people are becoming aware of the disastrous situation in Gaza, and I trust we will find more compassionate hearts willing to help.

Thank you in advance. And Free Palestine.
