Maha, Mohammed, and their 3-year old son, Taim, have been surviving the genocide in Gaza for the past year. Previously they ran a gift shop called Surprise Company, where they assembled lovely, thoughtful gifts for their community. Now that their home and livelihood are destroyed, they are struggling to meet their daily needs and stay safe from harm. We are asking you to pitch in to help save their lives by meeting our $500 monthly goal. The funds we collect will be used for living expenses and to help them safely cross the border once it opens.

We are asking to temporarily deactivate a paid streaming service or other luxury services (food delivery, online shopping, daily coffee) and divert those funds to a Palestinian family trying to survive genocide.
Corporations such as Netflix, Disney Plus, Hulu, etc. continue to increase their monthly fees while the prices for basic necessities are skyrocketing in Gaza. For example, a pound of tomatoes costs anywhere from $12-$180 USD right now!
We are asking folks to commit to a monthly donation for 3 months to a year by signing up with Chuffed. These donations are lifelines for families trying to survive a genocide, and reliable, reccurring support is desperately needed to sustain our fundraising efforts!
