Help save Rahma’s family in Gaza
United States
My name is Rahma , I am a Palestinian citizen and mother and hold a bachelor’s degree in education. (Pharmaceutical).
I am reaching out to you with a heavy heart and a plea for help in getting my family out of Gaza.
In November, Our house was bombed in Gaza City. Many of our family members’ homes were also bombed and since then, my family and our children have been forced to move to another place several times.
All my family members were dispersed, some of them taking shelter in an overcrowded and unsanitary UNRWA shelter, which was bombed. Some of them are in other camps. Currently, the entire family is divided in Rafah and Deir al-Balah, a decision they made to limit the number of casualties. With their backs against the wall, they face death every moment of the day and have nowhere to go. A family member was infected with hepatitis and could not obtain appropriate treatment. My uncle was killed, and a few days later my cousin was killed as well. Our young children, who have seen the bodies of many young children, often tell their parents that they do not want to die. The family has little access to food and clean water. It’s nearly winter in Gaza, and the fact that they are all in unclean, freezing places, with rain and ill-fitting clothing haunts my thoughts. I was supporting some of my family members and some people due to my work as a pharmacist in Gaza.
I succeeded in evacuating from Gaza, with my husband and my daughters, but the rest of my family members are still in Gaza I will try my best to take them to safety.. I promised them that .
How would you feel and what would you do if this were your family? Your contribution, no matter how small, towards fees and travel costs will have a huge impact on my family’s chances of survival. Thank you for your kindness, generosity and compassion.
Sincerely, Rahma
> “We are a Palestinian family who escaped death by a miracle.”
That sentence may summarize our journey, but it doesn’t capture the pain, the exhaustion, or the long road we’re still walking.
After weeks of bombardment, fear, and destruction in Gaza, we managed to leave to Egypt—like escaping a grave, but only into a temporary breath of safety.
We thought the hardest part was behind us. But today, surviving in Egypt is a new kind of struggle. The days are stretching longer, the expenses keep rising, and every moment is a question: how do we keep going?
Yet the real weight we carry is this: Our loved ones are still in Gaza. Under siege. Under threat. And they see us—those who made it out—as a flicker of hope, a lifeline, a reason to hold on.
They believe in us. And we refuse to let them down.
This campaign is not just about us. It’s about staying strong for them, too. Every donation, every share, every kind word—it helps a family survive, but also reminds our people that they are not alone.
We are one team. One pain. One dream—for dignity, safety, and a chance to rebuild.
This is not just a fundraising link. This is a human connection, a plea from heart to heart.
If you can help, even a little—or simply share our story—you become part of the light we’re holding onto in this long night.

It’s back with more force, it’s back with more violence.
Life has become difficult and almost impossible. Today, the necessities of life have become scarce and unavailable. And what is available is priced at several times its normal price. I don’t know what to say here, but we are just trying to survive!
Your help, even a little, could be a reason for survival. It could be a reason for feeding a hungry child.
The ink has run out and the talk is over.
–Rahma’s family
A ceasefire at last. This is a very hopeful day for us. After months of displacement, my family are preparing to return to our home in the North of Gaza. I cannot describe to you the joy this brings them.
We will continue to update you here about what is happening with us, and what support we need. So far, this is what we know will be needed in the coming days:
-$300 for transportation to the North
-$700 for hormone repairs (electricity, water, and internet) to make it liveable.
-$500 for some basic foods and vegetables, and basic treatments and vitamins.
-$500 for clothes and blankets, some nylon fabric to cover broken windows and holes from explosions.
-$1,000 for a solar panel to provide electricity on the site of our demolished home & a gas oven, if available, or a traditional clay oven.
This totals to about $3,000, or in other words, 75 people sending $40. Please share our request with your loved ones. It will make a big difference for us.
Thank you for standing by us. It has meant everything to us throughout these difficult times. I look forward to sharing our tales of home and rebuilding with you.
