My name is Greta. I work in the academic scientific research sector and I am a mum of two young kids.

21 year old Ahmed was able to escape with his family in Egypt at the start of the genocide. He lives with his dad who has had cancer for 5 years, his mum and 5 younger siblings. His old brother in is Türkiye receiving treatment.

Palestinians are not recognised as refugees in Egypt and therefore cannot benefit from free schools and other vital services. It is a limbo life.

Ahmed needs support to pay for rent, utilities, food, warm clothes for winter, blankets and other necessities.

This is an example of Ahmed’s monthly expenses

Rent 6000 EGP/ 120 USD/ 190 AUD

Utilities 1000 EGP/20 USD/ 32 AUD

Food 4000 EGP/ 80 USD/ 130 AUD

Clothes 2000 EGP/ 40 USD/ 65 AUD

Other expenses 2000 EGP/ 40 USD/ 65 AUD

100% of what is raised here will be sent to Ahmed via USDT or bank transfer.

You can payID: [email protected] if you live in Australia to avoid bank fees.

Please consider regular giving (weekly or monthly) in the payments section. This gives our friends some feelings of security in an otherwise insecure environment. If you’d like to get in touch with me, email me at [email protected]

Hello,

Ahmed asked me to send you the following video message to thank you all for your support so far.

He really appreciates it.

Thank you.

In solidarity, Greta

Ahmed has a slipped in his lower back and it’s causing him excruciating pain so much so he can barely sleep. He wanted to show the photos of the wet cupping treatment he had the other day by I have intervened on that one saving you the bloody gore of it (you’re welcome) so he’s taken this photo of his back post treatment instead. Ahmed would like to buy pain killers and seek further treatment for his back. Could you help with a small donation? Remember, in Egypt a modest amount can go a longer way than either Gaza or western countries. Thanks for your support
