Support for Manal Al Hassanat, a mother in Gaza

Hi from Los Angeles! My name is Ilan Conrado, i am an artist and art educator from California.
I made this campaign for Manal Al-Hassanat, the mother of my friend Madeleine Al-Hassanat. The Al-Hassanat family are from Northern Gaza and had to evacuate to the south during the war. They were displaced from their familial home on October 15th, 2023. They have been homeless ever since, and urgently need funds for shelter/tents, food, adequate bedding, and clothing.
I am in direct contact with Manal and her daughter Madeleine daily. They have no source of income, and Manal’s youngest son Jamal is suffering from pulmonary tuberculosis and a severe ear infection. He was able to have one surgery before the war, but it was unsuccessful, and he needs expensive medical treatment.
Manal is trying to raise funds to support her family of 10+, including herself.
Manal is a mother of 6, a grandmother of 2, and caretaker of her injured husband, Maher, her father in law Abu Maher, and her sister with breast cancer. Please share this campaign with your community and friends so this beautiful family can survive an unbearable situation. Thank you for reading!

Manal is desperate for support right now, she has borrowed money from her neighbors and merchants in order to keep her family alive and has to pay the money back soon.
She is requesting $1000 to help cover the cost of treatment for her 14-year old son Jamal who has a serious throat infection ($500) and the rest of the funds will go towards food for her family of 6.
