Safa is a young Palestinian woman who has survived unimaginable horrors in Gaza. She lost family members, endured relentless bombings, and witnessed the destruction of her home. In a desperate bid to save her, her remaining loved ones sold their valuables and spent everything they had to get her to safety. Thanks to their sacrifice, she was able to evacuate to the UK to continue her education.
Before the war, Safa was a dedicated student with a dream of becoming a doctor. Despite everything she has endured, she has been accepted into a prestigious UK institution on a full scholarship to study medicine. She is now pursuing an MSc in Cardiovascular and Respiratory Healthcare, with the goal of returning to Gaza to help her people.
However, as a refugee in London, Safa has no access to financial support or benefits and is entirely on her own. We are raising £10,000 to cover her rent, food, and essential living expenses while she completes her studies.
After surviving so much, Safa deserves the chance to focus on her education without the constant stress of financial insecurity. Her family remains trapped in a refugee camp in Gaza, and for many of them, she is their only hope for a better future.
