Hello, my name is Jana, and I am in desperate need of your help.

I am a 14‑year‑old girl from Rafah, a city that has been completely destroyed. For over a year, my family and I have been living in makeshift tents in the displacement camps of Al‑Mawasi, Khan Younis. We have been under total siege for months — no clean water, no food, no medicine, no electricity. Every day we struggle to secure the bare minimum to stay alive.

Before the war, we lived a simple and beautiful life. I dreamed of becoming a dentist, my brother Ahmed hoped to be a doctor to help the sick, and my brother Karem wanted to be a photographer to capture the beauty of our homeland. Today, all of those dreams have been buried under the rubble of our home.

We have lost friends, neighbors, relatives, and our school. But we have not lost hope. We still believe in the kindness of people like you.

We have been living under a complete and total blockade for nearly four months. Not a single item has entered — no food, no water, no hygiene supplies, absolutely nothing.

We have been unable to find even the simplest things to eat for months. The few supplies that do make it to the market are sold at outrageous prices. A kilogram of flour now costs about 50 shekels (around $15), and we need roughly 2 kilos per day. Lentils cost nearly $10 for a small portion. As for vegetables — they have become incredibly scarce and expensive, with a kilogram of tomatoes costing roughly $15, and cucumbers at a similar price.

Even water has become a rare and costly resource, making daily survival an overwhelming challenge.

We are in desperate and urgent need of your help and support to secure basic daily necessities — food, water, and hygiene supplies — to keep going and stay alive. Every contribution, no matter how small, can make the difference between life and death for our family.

During my participation in one of the children’s empowerment initiatives, I gave a speech about hope and happiness. I emphasized the importance of holding on to hope, even in the toughest circumstances, and how hope can be a source of our strength and happiness. I spoke about finding joy in the simple things around us and in supporting one another. The children responded beautifully, and through their eyes, I realized that hope is what keeps them resilient and able to smile despite all the challenges they face.♥️♥️
