Help 14-year-old Hossam Evacuate Gaza and Survive Open-Heart Surgery

Hossam Nasser was born on May 13, 2010, after his parents’ ten years of many attempts to have a child. In the first moments of birth, the doctors decided to admit him to intensive care and nursery. Due to congenital heart defect Tetralogy of Fallot (Tof with PA) The doctors decided to perform an urgent operation to save the life of the child Hossam. Unfortunately, this operation could not be performed in Gaza because of the siege and because of the seriousness of the disease.
The doctors had decided to divide the operation into three operations. The first operation in the first month, and 3 years later, the third operation. He was transferred through the Ministry of Health to perform the operation. Outside the country, at Schneider Hospital in Israel, in the first month he had his first open-heart surgery, and after 3 years, another open-heart surgery was performed for the second time in the same hospital. The doctors who are following up on his condition approved that he would have the last open heart operation in november, 2023.
Unfortunately, the war on the Gaza Strip began, which is being followed all over the world, knowing that the doctors decided that the operation was urgent and immediate, and because of the conditions that Gaza Strip is going through, Hossam lost his home completely and was displaced from his home to the camps. and now i [Hassan] am trying to raise the necessary funds to get him out of gaza into egypt where he can have his last operation and save his life. I am his cousin and the funds will be send to gaza through western union to pay for his departure to egypt via AL-HALA travel agency.
On July 26 2025, we made a $1847 transfer to Hossam’s father Osama.
With 7476-6217=1259 from Chuffed increase; 1226/2=613 from Alison’s nails; amd 40/2=20 from Venmo, Total = 1892-45 wire fees=$1847. As of now, we have transfered $7476 from Chuffed and $6211.84 from outside of Chuffed, totaling $13687.84.
Due to the escalations in Deir al-Balah, Hossam’s family was displaced once again recently. “Money was drained during displacement, food shortages and rising prices.” Hossam has little money “to save some [for] treatment and medication.” Hossam said, “I would like to thank all the friends who help me and my family.”
On May 16, we made a transfer to Hossam’s father Osama totaling 1257 USD. It included 1099/2 = 549.5 from alison’s nails, 13/2=6.5 from jq, 6217-6047 = 170 Chuffed increase, and another 576USD from alison. Total of $1302 deducting $45 wire fees = 1257 USD.
As of May 16, 2025, we have transfered $6217 from Chuffed and $5623.84 from outside of Chuffed, totaling $11840.84.
On February 4, Hossam was contacted by the Scientific Health Organization and asked for the family’s information to apply for approval to travel for his surgery. However, there are a long waiting list of patients, which according to Hossam is approximately 120 thousand. After his father went back to their hometown in Beit Hanoun in North Gaza, they found their familiar home completely devastated and uninhabitable. Currently, they live in a tent in Deir Al-Balah.
